Most often prepared dish on Saturdays in Hungarian families. They call it "paprikás krumpli"

Meal ingredients

  • 1.2kg potato
  • 150g smoked sausages (sliced)
  • 150g onion
  • 50g bacon
  • 300g chicken breast
  • 200ml tomato juice
  • 1tsp red pepper
  • 300 ml water
  • salt, pepper

Instructions

Heat up the pot together with the bacon, and fry it until it lets out enough fat

Add the onion, and fry for 5 mins

Add the potatoes, and mix them up

Pour in the tomato pureé, add the red pepper, salt and pepper to taste. Mix them up, and cook just for few minutes.

Pour enough boiling water so that it covers the potatoes

When the potatoes are half cooked (around 15mins), add the chicken breasts

And finally toss in the sausages as well, and cook for 15 more minutes

The meal is ready! Garnish with pickled vegetables.
